To help shorten your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment so we can complete your new patient paperwork. If you have questions beforehand, please call our office at 609-921-6610.
Your first visit to Princeton Periodontics & Implants is an opportunity to get to know Dr. Humayun and learn as much as you're interested in knowing about your impending treatment, including the purpose and scope of the procedure, the short- and long-term expectations, the duration of the procedure, the potential level of discomfort, and the cost (and how much of it will be covered by insurance). In most cases, the treatment is performed, or started, during your second appointment.
Dr. Humayun also conducts a gentle but comprehensive periodontal exam during the initial consultation, which entails:
- A discussion about your periodontal needs and goals
- A review of your medical and dental history
- A clinical periodontal exam and evaluation of a recent full set of radiographs — we'll take these if needed and share them with your dentist
- An oral cancer screening
- And taking impressions for study models, if needed
